MEND Manager - Job Description

About MEND Margaret River
Your Role
As the MEND Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily operations of our recovery centre and spa run smoothly, and that all customers experience service in-line with the business’ expectations. This includes staff management, maintenance of the facilities and space, customer support and service, and marketing and promotion assistance.
Your tasks may include (but are not limited to):
- Overseeing the cleanliness of the inside and outside of our space, including the spa facilities (sauna, ice bath and hot plunge), reception & massage treatment rooms.
- Managing reception team (currently six staff), including training staff and managing staff roster.

Upholding a high level of customer service from staff, including performance expectations & client service standards.

Fill shifts when reception staff are absent.
- Reception and administration duties, including working closely with the Mindbody system and resolving issues, responding to business enquiries, managing laundry orders, and replenishing stock for all consumables and retail.
- Working closely with and executing on the MEND marketing strategy with the Owners/Directors.
- Respond to issues, particularly operational ones, in a timely manner. This may require work outside of contact hours, reimbursed under a time-in-lieu arrangement.
- Identifying and executing strategies for cost-saving and revenue growth.
- Other managerial duties like cash balancing and maintaining cash float.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:

Strong initiative, work ethic and problem solving skills.
- The confidence and independence to be able to resolve issues autonomously.
- Previous experience as a Spa Therapist, Spa Receptionist, hospitality, or similar role.
- A warm, professional demeanour with a close eye for detail.

Availability to work a minimum 30 hours per week And an ability to be flexible to work outside normal working hours and on weekends.

Knowledge of Spa and Beauty treatments.

Strong soft skills or experience managing a team.
- Proficient computer skills particularly in the use of Email / Google Docs.

Mindbody experience preferred but not essential
- Marketing or Design experience is preferred but not essential.
